MITCH ROSSELL
Mitch Rossell, originally from the hills of East Tennessee, is blazing a trail through the world of country music. His prolific songwriting and unique artistry has garnered the unshakable support of music fans across all genres. With a tenacious work ethic and a no-shortcut approach, he has laid the foundation for a promising career.
Growing up, Rossell’s life was filled with much adversity, which he credits for his determination and grit. Rossell discovered his passion for guitar his freshman year of college, an instrument he picked up to honor his late father. He quickly found himself locked in his dorm room skipping classes to indulge in his newfound musical obsession. Upon graduating with a degree in Business Management, Rossell made the move to Nashville in 2010.
Rossell made a decision early on that he was going to take the road less traveled. In a world full of quick fixes and so-called shortcuts to success, Rossell knew it would take time to grow into the artist he wanted to become. While most will only see the larger than life moments, Rossell remains humbled and driven by the years of struggling in a town that swallows up so many hopefuls.
Rossell has spent the past year on the road with the legendary Garth Brooks, as well as headlining his own shows across the country. Recently, Rossell finished his studio album “Raised By The Radio,” some of which was co-produced with his mentor and champion, Mr. Brooks.
"Mitch Rossell has one of those voices that spins your head around the second you hear it, but that is only the beginning," says Brooks, “Once he has your attention, get ready for some of the best lyrics and melodies you have ever heard.” -Garth Brooks
Garth took such a liking to Rossell’s unique style of writing that in 2017 he cut and released Mitch’s 100% self-written song, “Ask Me How I Know.” The song, which he performed at the 2017 CMA awards, was Mitch’s first single at country radio, and shortly thereafter, his first #1 hit. In 2018, Mitch wrote Garth’s next single “All Day Long” with Garth and Bryan Kennedy, and currently has Garth’s single, “Dive Bar,” which features Blake Shelton and is nominated for the 2019 CMA Musical Event of the Year.
Mitch Rossell joined the Wrensong Family as a staff writer in the Fall of 2017. He is currently performing and continually writing for his solo project.
